The Top Street Style Trends Seen at NYFW

by Julie Chiem

New York Fashion Week is bringing out some of the best street style looks. It was clear as day which trends showgoers were falling for. Power suiting was everywhere, but instead of fitted silhouettes, the styles were a lot more relaxed and reminiscent of ‘90s office attire. In a season when we’re used to seeing dark florals, the polka dot print takes the spotlight in dresses and tops. And then there’s that next-level piece everyone is obsessed with: the corset.

Ahead, see how the top trends are being styled so you can easily capture the looks.

Pink Suiting

There was no way of escaping the plethora of blazers with matching trousers, but among all the colors, pink stood out the most. In all shades, the pretty and feminine color was a favorite among showgoers. Make a statement by wearing it head to toe, or try a pink blazer over a tee and jeans.

Polka Dot Print

From ditsy to big and bold, there were a bunch of romantic dresses and demure blouses in this fun and playful print. Opt for a top with some texture to add interest. We're loving subtle ruffles or bell sleeves against this print. In a dress, choose a sleeveless style or one with a side slit. The hint of skin breaks up the print to create a flirty look.

Corsets

If you're going for a next-level look, the coolest way to wear the corset is layering it over a dress or a tee. Can't be bothered with styling the two? Then we've got you covered with the one-and-done pieces, too.
