Our Alpaca Luxe Fur Collection originates in the Andean Mountains where thousands of farmers and their families practice small scale herding. It is cruelty free. Let us explain: An average Andean farmer has about 20-50 animals and they live in a very dangerous terrain. This area has very hazardous weather November through May where 30% of the herd does not survive. We salvage these hides which would otherwise be a complete loss to these farmers. The Natural life cycle in these mountains is beautiful yet harsh. There is a silver lining under every cloud in these mountains.
