With the success of the long-awaited Nemo, Stuhrling Original takes it a step farther by developing a second “sequel” to that timepiece. The result: the Nemo MCX. Like the original Nemo, the Nemo MCX retains its ultra modern and urbane design, utilizing an octagonal-shaped case to give it that submarine look and feel. The satin-brushed bezel affixed to the case is reminiscent to the portholes of luxury ships and other sea-faring vessels. While it shares many of its predecessor’s intricate details, the Nemo MCX goes above and beyond with complications all its own; this watch is equipped with a skeletonized Master Calendar movement! It includes a four piece dial displaying the Day-of-the-week (sub-dial at nine o’clock), Date (sub-dial at three o’clock), and Month (sub-dial at twelve o’clock). And that’s not all! Also featuring a separate 24-hour hand (sub-dial at six o’clock) the Nemo MCX has recessed pushers to control the calendar functions and this magnificent timepiece is powered by a 20-jewel mechanical automatic movement! The main difference between the Nemo MCX and the Nemo MC is its case size; this newer version measures in at an incredible 50mm! This beautifully engineered timepiece is protected by Krysterna crystals, front and back, and its complications are set atop frosted acrylic dial plates for a subtle peek at the inner workings and complications of the movement.
