Founded in 1998, a.v.max was created by Amy Vennema, a native New Yorker who grew up in Greenwich Village and now has her studio in the heart of the Garment District. Amy draws inspiration from the designer runway collections, fashion magazines, contemporary artists and musicians. Her background as a painter always plays a part in her color selection and design. The jewelry is hand-made by artisans in her sun-drenched design studio. Amy is proud to be one of the few remaining New York designers to still produce her line in the United States.
