Aedes de Venustas Women's Oeillet Bengale Eau de Parfum
at Barneys New York
A Flower on Fire A rose that wants to be a carnation, set ablaze by an exotic spice explosion. Red petals turned black by frankincense. Aedes de Venustas's third release is a fierce, fiery, feral flower. The Muse: A Rose that wants to be a carnation Though it bears the French name for carnation, the "Bengale Oeillet" is actually a variety of China rose, Rosa Indica caryophyllea, bred by the floral painter and botanist Pierre Joseph Redouté (1759-1840). It is the ambivalent name and appearance of the Bengale Oeillet rather than its scent that inspires the third Aedes De Venustas offering. Top notes: bergamot, white pepper Middle Notes: Rose, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, saffron, turmeric, clove Base Notes: Tolu balsam, labdanum, ylang ylang, benzoin, vanilla Olfactive Group: Oriental 100 ml Aedes de Venustas Women's Oeillet Bengale Eau de Parfum A great designer gift.
