8 spring 2023 fashion trends to start shopping now
We’ve curated the top trends to invest in for the new season.

Soft Utility
Utility styles have been making themselves known over the last couple of seasons (hello, cargo pants), and they’re here to stay in a big way. This spring, you’ll find cargo pocket-adorned pieces in a variety of silhouettes and fabrics. These functional utility styles are versatile and have an effortless feel that make them easy to work into your wardrobe.

Relaxed Formal
This season, suiting will have a more laid back feel but still remain elevated with relaxed fits and softer silhouettes. Look for oversized blazers, wide-leg trousers, and oversized shirting. Style your soft suiting with basics like classic tanks and tees in neutral hues.

Tied Up
When it comes to details, it was all about lace-up ties this season. The design detail was spotted on the runway at Altuzarra, Chloé, Monse, and more. Whether they were tied up or hanging loose, ties were featured in a number of ways on shirts, skirts, pants, and dresses.

Dopamine Pops
The dopamine dressing trend will continue to go strong for spring, but this season we’re seeing the saturated shades styled in a different way. Instead of wearing them head to toe (or matched them up with one another), the bold hues are being paired up with neutral hues to create a bright pop of colour.

‘80s Party
We’re going back to the ‘80s this season. Bubble hem dresses, shoulder pads, oversized blazers, and bold patterns made a statement on the spring/summer 2023 runways. Designers brought a fresh spin to key fashion styles that dominated the decade.

Downtown Girl
Rebel academia meets ‘90s grunge to create this ultra-cool trend. Mini skirts, knits in moody colours, over-the-ear headphones as an accessory, lug-sole loafers, and chunky boots are some of the ingredients you need to tap into this edgy vibe.

Daytime Lingerie
This trend is all about lingerie-inspired pieces—think: bustier tops, camisoles, slip dresses, and skirts—that are meant to be worn outside of the bedroom. You’ll see lots of lace-trimming this season and delicate details. You can also tap into this trend with sheer styles that show off your undergarments.

Racer Revival
Seen on the runways at Stella McCartney, Chloé, and more—racer-inspired styles are going to be big for spring. From biker jackets to sporty racer pants and overalls, you’ll see a lot of bold graphic prints and pops of colour mixed with black.
